At Vienna Coffee Company, single origin coffees are how we tell the story of coffee from seed to cup. Our newest limited time offering comes from Puebla, Mexico, and it brings a cup that is both comforting and lively.
Coffee has been part of Mexico’s agricultural heritage for centuries. In Puebla, coffee is grown on steep high-altitude mountainsides where smallholder producers tend family plots that have been cultivated for generations. For many of these families, coffee remains one of the few reliable cash crops, which makes each harvest deeply tied to both tradition and livelihood.
This coffee comes from Red de Quimixtlán, a producer group working to strengthen access to specialty markets and improve transparency in a system that has historically relied on layers of intermediaries. Their work helps create more direct pathways between growers and roasters, which supports better margins for farmers and more traceable coffees for drinkers. We are proud to feature coffees that support this kind of progress while delivering exceptional quality in the cup.
In the roastery, we approached this lot with a medium roast profile to preserve sweetness and clarity. Expect tasting notes of mulled cider, brown sugar, and blackberry. The body is medium with mild acidity, which makes this coffee approachable as a daily drinker while still offering a distinct flavor experience that sets it apart from our blends.
This coffee will only be around for a limited time. Once the lot is gone, it is gone. That seasonality is part of what makes origin coffees special. They reflect a moment in a place, then move on to make room for the next story.
