This September we’re proud to share La Armonia Hermosa, as our featured single origin coffee and it is a true embodiment of harmony. This beautiful harmony is attributed to the farming family, a community, and dedicated roasters.
A Coffee Rooted in Family and Place
This speciality coffee grows on a volcanic hillside in Santa Maria de Jesus, Guatemala. The rich volcanic soil and high altitude shape its exceptional quality and flavor.
It is cultivated by the family of Julio Cuy Xar and thoughtfully processed by their local wet mill. This partnership with both their community and Deeper Roots/Vienna Coffee Company makes La Armonia Hermosa literally “The Beautiful Harmony”, a fitting name for a coffee defined by this long-standing collaboration.

A Cup Full of Flavor
This year’s harvest greets your senses with tasting notes of toasted almond, juicy peach, and vanilla. Each sip is clean, inviting, and nuanced.
The cherries are still picked entirely by hand. Then they go through a de-pulping machine to remove the fruit from the seeds. The coffee is dried, both washed and natural methods are in play, with constant turning on tarps to ensure even drying.
