Dolly Fundraiser and Other October Updates

October is a season of change

There are many things happening at Vienna, both behind the scenes and front and center. We added outdoor seating to our Maryville College location, opened a second location on the ORNL campus, and have been welcoming new staff at all locations. The changes keep on coming, and we're thankful you've been with us every step of the way.

La Armonia Hermosa|Guatemala

A new month means a new single origin spotlight!

This month, we bring you Guatemala La Armonia Hermosa. It is a medium roast with tasting notes of dried apricot, citrus, and graham cracker.

The name translates to "the beautiful harmony" - and it's earned. Through a long-standing relationship between these farming families and our sister company Deeper Roots Coffee, the producers here have gained access to better infrastructure, technical support, and the kind of pricing that makes growing coffee a sustainable lively hood.

Our Red Roaster Blend is here to stay a while longer.

It’s our signature fall roast, currently on the bar as our pour over offering. It pays homage to our founders roots, who started this company with a small red coffee bean roaster you can see in our downtown Maryville location. Read more about it in our previous blog.

Our Tribute to Dolly

Imagination Library Donation

Dolly Parton is an inspiration to us all in east Tennessee. We here at Vienna were saddened to hear of her passing, and wanted to do something to show our support to her and what she stood for. Dolly Parton started a foundation to help the literacy crisis in Tennessee 31 years ago, known as the Imagination Library. It started small, with just books to children born in her home county of Sevierville. Now it's expanded to include the entire United States and even some programs internationally. The Imagination Library has been providing children one free book a month from the time they are born until their 5th birthday.

We decided to raise funds for Dolly's Imagination Library. With our sales of The Dolly drink and Front Porch beans, we were able to raise $300. If you would like to learn more about this program or make your own donation, visit their website by clicking on the photo above.
