Bloom is a unique event for the coffee community, featuring thought-leaders who will present topics that specifically address the craft coffee community.
In order to meaningfully connect both the local and national barista community through dialogue and action, SCA and Barista Guild have offered Vienna Coffee Company the opportunity to host a satellite Bloom event here in Knoxville! We are excited to connect with those in the Knoxville coffee scene for dialogue about how we can grow together.
Thursday, March 8th - Bloom Knoxville will kick off with a city-wide TNT (Thursday Night Throwdown) and party hosted by Vienna Coffee at the Regas Building. It's a great time for coffee professionals to get to know one another, and our generous sponsors have donated some incredible prizes for whoever is fortunate enough to win them!
Friday, March 9th - We will view the three main Bloom sessions via simulcast, coinciding with what we've dubbed the "Knox Coffee Village," where local coffee roasters and shops will be sampling drinks for attendees. This gives us an opportunity to highlight local coffee professionals' offerings. We will also feature local and regional coffee professionals as part of a few panel discussions. The night will conclude with a short talk from Deeper Roots Coffee's Les Stoneham about some of his work on the ground in Guatemala. Download Friday's event schedule here.
Saturday, March 10th: 9am-2pm - Our Knox Coffee Crawl affords attendees the opportunity to visit all participating coffee shops and sample their fare and ending at Vienna Coffee at Regas. Upon completing the crawl, full punch cards will be entered for a grand prize drawing, including a Baratza Vario-W!
